Our task was to select an image in the magazine, either an advert, campaign or photograph - any image that we found interesting and had something to say about it.
We then had to study the image in various stages, in different levels of detail to really analyse the visual communication of the photograph and truly understand the choices made around it.

Editorial photo shoot to showcase a range of outfits and items of clothing that conform to the mod trend of the 60s, incorporating the pastel trend.

The target audience of this image is the same as the actual audience, readers of Company magazine. This image was produced for Company magazine exclusively, so it's intended audience is the readers. Company magazine is aimed at those with an interest in fashion and beauty predominantly between the ages 16-25. The audience of the image may be slightly widened by using Nina Nesbitt as the model as fans of hers may take an interest in the magazine specifically for her.

A digital photograph taken what appears to be outside with a combination of natural sun light and studio lighting. Irony of an "old crazy cat lady" portrayed through the scarf wrapped around the models head, cuddling a cat (also wearing a scarf) and the (cat eye) style glasses perched on the edge of her nose. The saturated portrait image also conveys an older photograph.

The first issue of "Puss Puss" magazine, a new culture, fashion and music magazine for cat lovers. The main target audience would be those interested in new and independent magazines, as well as unique articles that aren't found in mainstream publications.
