NYC Shopping

Shopping in New York was like a dream come true. Not only was it snowing, yellow taxis whizzing past us, everything lit up at night - so many brands and products were cheaper than they are here in the UK. I can proudly say that I made a trip to a MAC store or counter every day, and the beauty, cosmetic and fragrance areas (often whole floors) in stores such as Macy's and Lord and Taylor where heavenly. I was in paradise.

So what did I buy?

There's something in the air... fragrance

Whilst in New York we went to a lecture at the FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) where we were given a brilliant background and history of fragrance. With the next module being on fragrance, where we create our own perfume and promotional materials, it was great to learn some of the key fragrances and learn about the different notes and ingredients that are used in some of the most famous perfumes.

New York 2015

After a lovely Christmas and New Year, seeing friends and family at home I was back to Nottingham on the 3rd of January. It felt odd going back, as I'd got used to being home again, although I couldn't wait to see my friends, go out and have fun.

I'd barely got my feet on the ground when Monday came along, and I was off to New York. Yep, New York! Ever since I can remember I've always wanted to go to the Big Apple and finally the moment had arrived.
