Compositional mood boards

In a recent seminar we looked at different ways to compose a mood board. We focused on 4 main types:

• grid
• freeform
• minimum
• maximum

We then had to create a series of mood board in each style with our colour story components. My colour story is frosted purple, with the idea of interior and home decor in mind.

I found the freeform and minimum compositions the most challenging as I felt they were a more unusual way of working than I was used to. My favourite compositions were grid and maximum and I felt they were the most successful at presenting my colour story.
