January Favourites 2014

So this is my first monthly favourites of 2014! As it's the first of a new year, this post is a special one... with the theme of pink! As I was selecting what my favourite products/things I've always been reaching to over the last month, many were pink so I thought I'd keep the the colour theme. And what better way to ditch the January blues with a hint lot of pink?

Shopping trip haul

Is it me or are spontaneous shopping trips the best? I went shopping with my mum last Saturday which turned out to be a very successful shop.

Navy heart print shirt

You may recognise this lovely heart print shirt from a Topshop wishlist post back in October, which you can find here. I found this beauty in the sale section for £18 down from £32 although I got it for £16.20 due to the wonderful art of student discount! (Please excuse the fluff on the shirt - I tried it on at home with a fluffy jumper hahaha!)

Topshop Floral Cigarette Trousers

I HAVE THE FLORAL TROUSERS FROM TOPSHOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't currently contain my excitement (you can probably tell). The gorgeous floral cigarette trousers which I've wanted for absolutely ages from Topshop (no doubt you've heard me ramble on about them in several posts!) are in my wardrobe. Yes, I finally got them!

As you can probably see I've wanted these trousers for ages - I first saw them around August/September time (it was so long ago I can't really remember, haha!)

Sighh Designs pocket mirror

I thought I'd write a post today to introduce you to Sighh Designs. It is a lovely little business that sells phone cases and pocket mirrors with beautiful designs all created by Polly Vadasz. 

Blog makeover

You can probably see from reading this that my blog has had a bit of a makeover! As much as I loved the teal, I wanted a colour scheme that reflected me a bit more and was a bit more girly - and voila! I wanted to lighten it up a bit, especially as its a new year and the darker colours are beginning to leave us (weather and fashion wise!)

Yes, my main background is macaroons. I first tried them back in October on a trip to Paris and fell in love! When decorating my blog I just had to incorporate them into the design, and I thought they'd make a nice feature as the background.

I then altered the fonts, choosing lighter and girlier ones to add to my new theme. I incorporated some hearts and adjusted the colours to fit my new pastel theme. I've been a bit obsessed with pastel colours at the moment, one of the key trends for Spring/Summer 2014 - I just love how pretty they are!

I'm thrilled with how my blog looks! What do you think? Do you like the new theme?

A few things I got for Christmas

I was going to go without doing a post on what I got for Christmas - I did a beauty product one here - but after reading so many posts I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon too! As I've already done a beauty post, this will consist a few of the other things I received.

Eyeliner

Recently I have been wearing eyeliner a lot more, and because of this new step in my make up routine, I want to be able to achieve the best winged eyeliner that I am capable of in the shortest amount of time! After seeing the chunkier, felt tip like pen in magazines and on blogs, I was desperate to try one as it looked so much easier. Luckily, my mum had one which she wasn't using and let me have to try.

I had been using the Rimmel Glam'Eyes liquid liner which has a very thin brush - excellent for details but not so quick when I'm half asleep in the morning!

I still use this when I'm having trouble with getting the flicks the same, and it is also nice to use to outline towards the inner corners of my eyes.

Pamper Evening

For ages I've wanted a night in, with a nice bath using a new bath bomb, using and testing out some new products. For a couple of days now I've been desperate to have my pamper evening, and I can happily say I've finally had it! Yay!

MAC Créme Cup

As you've probably figured out by reading my blog I haven't really experimented and delved into the more high end make up, only really using the brands found in Boots and Superdrug. Back in August I got my first MAC lipstick in the shade Pink Plaid, a matte lipstick which I absolutely adore. I've been keen to try another MAC lipstick, after being so impressed and seeing how so many people raved about MAC.

December Favourites 2013

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Wow, 2013 is over! I can't believe how fast the year has gone, it has quite literally flown by! It hasn't really sunk in yet that it's 2014 - I just can't quite believe it. It's so weird to think that 2012 wasn't "last year" it's now 2 years ago - how scary?! So here is my December favourites post! 

Nivea 2 in 1 Cleanser & Toner

I love getting a new facial scrub or some other new face wash product, however I am never able to keep it up for longer than a week! Sometimes it's because the "wow" factor has worn off after a few uses, or it's often just as my head sinks into my pillow I remember! This might sound bad but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has struggled keeping it up!
